Artist Statement

working towards a coherence, A ‘finished’ thing. Most of the good stuff happens when you are rolling, when you are not looking, its a little frenzied, anxious even. a duel with your belief in yourself and your many failures i guess. When I work I try to stay in the moment, I guess thats a fancy way of saying trust your instincts because your ego or your Intellect gets in the way…

pushing the elements closer to the heat of the line and trying to avoid moving too close to the vulgar or indelicate.

handmade slides

Ongoing project with transparencies. ADDING ELEMENTS, WIRE, NETTING, THREADS, glass, hair, ink etc ETC ETC TO blank 35MM SLIDE holders. Maybe transfer the finished slides to video. In my tests what I found interesting was the very fragile items trembled because of the projector fan, interesting in an Otherworldly analog KINDA way.
